Reading and Annotating in InfoFlow

InfoFlow provides a distraction-free reading experience with powerful annotation capabilities. This guide explains how to make the most of these features.

Reading Experience

Reader Mode

InfoFlow's reader mode offers a clean, customizable reading experience:

  • Clean Layout: Content is presented in a distraction-free environment
  • Customizable Display: Adjust text size, font, line spacing, and margins
  • Dark Mode: Switch between light and dark themes
  • Focus Mode: Highlight only the paragraph you're currently reading

Reader Settings

Customize your reading experience by clicking the settings icon (⚙️) in the reader view:

  • Font Selection: Choose from several font options
  • Text Size: Adjust to your preference
  • Line Spacing: Change for better readability
  • Margins: Set wider or narrower margins

Highlighting and Annotating

Creating Highlights or Notes with Highlights

  1. Select text while reading
  2. The highlight toolbar will appear
  3. Choose a highlight color (optional)
  4. The selected text is now highlighted

Adding Notes to Highlights

  1. Create a highlight as described above
  2. Click the "Add Note" icon in the highlight toolbar
  3. Type your note or thoughts about the highlighted text
  4. Notes are saved and synced across all your devices

You can customize the color meanings in Settings > Reading > Highlight Colors.

Managing Annotations

Highlight Library

Access all your highlights in one place:

  1. Go to "Highlights" in the sidebar
  2. View highlights from all saved content
  3. Filter by source, date, or highlight color
  4. Search within your highlights

Text-to-Speech

Listen to your saved content:

  1. Open any article or document
  2. Click the audio icon in the reader toolbar
  3. Adjust playback speed as needed
  4. Continue listening in background mode

Exporting Annotations

Export Options

Export your highlights and notes in several formats:

  1. Open the content containing your highlights
  2. Click the export icon in the toolbar
  3. Choose from export options:
    • Plain text
    • Markdown
    • HTML
    • PDF with highlights
